Legendary guitarist and ‘Won kere si number wa’ crooner Fatai Rolling Dollar is currently bereaved as he lost one of his wives, Olaitan last Friday. Late Olaitan had reportedly been in the hospital for months owing to an illness which stemmed from an injury she got last December when a firework popularly called banger thrown into the couple’s compound hit her on the leg. The incident resulted in complications days after even as several attempts to treat and heal the leg proved abortive until she finally gave up the ghost.
The 86-year old father of 16 children had also previously lost a wife in 1999 but recently wedded veteran screen goddess of Yoruba home movies, Bunmi Akinbo Gold most famous for her lead role in “Aiye Ogun Omo Arayele”, the first Yoruba movie to be shown on Nigerian Television Authority (NTA)
